i'm a rather large candle sculpture. i have five different smelling candles on my body that smell like australia in the summer: the bush, wattles, lavender, eucalyptus, and of course, citronella.

a seconds vase with lovely noodley glaze on me, but it was probably too thick and uneven, so i now have hairline cracks (last picture, zoom in) that occurred during firing. i am no longer watertight. my cracks have glue in them for extra support, but please handle me gently to prevent breakage.

my price reflects my faults.

Q&A.

who makes the pots?
i do. this is a one (wo)man operation.

how do you make the pots?
most of my pots are handbuilt - i use a variety of techniques like pinching and coiling to make them. additionally, i mix most of my own glazes, largely from existing recipes.

i never make the same pot twice. this means some will have minor flaws, however, i take this into account and adjust the price on these pots.

how long do you take to make your pots?
if all goes to plan, each pot usually takes about a month to make. making, drying, glazing, and firing (i outsource this) can be a lengthy, frustrating, and expensive process.

where do you make them?
currently, i am working out of a studio at BRUDI in brunswick in melbourne, australia.

how do you package them for shipping?
i wrap each item in a length of paper bubble wrap until the pot is protected with a thick, cushioned layer. this is then suspended in disolvable packing peanuts inside a cardboard box. all the packaging is recyclable, or if plastic is used, it lived a life prior to this one.

i will always pack the pots as economically as possible - i am never willing to pay AusPost more than necessary - so this might mean orders with multiple pots may come in a series of small boxes or one large one. if you dislike shipping companies as much as i do, and live nearby, you're always welcome to pick the pot up from my place in coburg or my studio in brunswick (and i will refund your shipping fee).

are you dodgy?
no, not when it comes to my pots. check out all my fab etsy reviews.

who makes your candles?
i do! they are soy wax candles. the pillar candles are also handmade by myself and are made from locally sourced beeswax.
